Jacob's Baptism

We had a wonderful day this past Sunday. Family and friends joined us to celebrate Jacob's baptism.

Jacob was very well behaved during the entire ceremony. He didn't even peep when the minister poured water on his forehead.

A special thank you to Uncle Luigi and Aunt Victoria for travelling from Montreal to particiapte as God Parents. They both have been enjoying themselves while visiting Calgary.

Oue next blog entry will likely happen after our trip to Montreal. We are looking forward to showing off Jacob to all of Nadia's family -- see everyone back here soon!

Our Growing Boy

Much to tell since the last entry.

Firstly, Jacob has grown quite a bit since his last doctor appointment. In three weeks he gained 2½ pounds (to 18lbs 10oz), and grew 1½ inches (to 27.5 inches). Geez! He's going to challenge Ethan for biggest Taylor boy. Also, Jake is starting to roll over in his crib, making raspberry sounds and laughing out load -- we're so proud ;)

We recently visited friends in Medicine Hat, which included a road trip to Cypress Hills -- very pretty! Check out some photos on our Flickr site.

Just today, Nadia successfully purchased an exersaucer for Jacob. It's been a long time coming, really, since Jacob loves to be upright which translates to us (mostly Nadia) carrying him around constantly. Here's a cute picture of Jake and his new toy.

We've also ordered a new car seat which will fit Jake better than his infant car seat.

Next event will be Jacob's baptism on February 18. We have family from Montreal visting us during the baptism, then we'll be travelling back with them to Montreal, which we're very much looking forward to.
